Hee hee, I love your thoughts! Swiss chard in German has a funny name too, “Mangold” (and it means the same in German as the English man+ gold). I wish I could go shopping in clothing stores and pay with Mangold instead of real money… . Hope your cold leaves you and you feel better soon. You are awesome!

My brother and I both have my dad’s nose—big crooked angle down the top of it, like a hook. I’ve grown accustomed to it on my own face, for the most part, but when I see it on my brother, it totally freaks me out. My little brother is 6′4″ and all of his features are proportioned to his height/size. When I see how big and how *crooked* his nose is, I always think, “omg that’s on my face, too!”

New York, for me, is like . . . the husband I married to get a green card, or something. He’s alright, we’re friends of convenience, but we don’t really *get* each other. We’re both probably meant for other things. But I haven’t worked up the energy to pursue something else somewhere else yet. I applaud your gumption!
